Yep. I believe it's a movie depicting his childhood. I guess he was ill-treated as a child; his uncle tied him to the train tracks while he was living in Africa.

i'm not a fan, at all. his voice, nothing about him is appealing to me. I love rap, just not him.

Although I do not listen to very much rap music, Akan is one of the few exceptions. I have Smack That as one of my ring tones.
